5 Time Management Tips for Moms
When I became a stay-at-home mom almost 10 years ago, I thought I would have all of the time in the world. But, the truth of the matter was, I realized rather quickly what a procrastinator and time waster I really was! At the same time, I felt like I was working all day long.
Say no. Really, give it a try! Because I was home, it always felt like I was available. I started prioritizing what was really worth my time to take on.
Write it down. Mom brain is real my friends! That mental to-do list just didn’t cut it anymore. Everyday I like to do a mental brain dump of all the things that I want to do, have to do, have to pick up at the store, etc. I carry my list with me in my purse so that when I remember something, I can add it.
Give yourself a technology break. It is crazy how much time we waste on social media! I can hop on to look up something in particular and before I know it, I have been sucked into hours of meaningless scrolling.
Set attainable goals. It’s so easy to bite off more than you can chew. Assess your current situation. See what you can get done.
Time block. To time block, you need to take a look at your to-do list and your calendar. When it is on the calendar, it has to get done and you start to take control and ownership of your own time.
Now that my kids are getting older and busier, I find that these tips are still just important as they were as babies! Of course, the best way to manage your time, you need a beautiful watch from Armitron, a line of fashionable and affordable dress, sport, and outdoor watches for men and women, that is sure to make you stand out from the crowd with a style all your own.
