Recap of our Frigid Winter Break
Before my kids headed out for winter break, I had a whole bucket list of things we were going to do over the course of 10 days. I wanted to go into Philly, go on a tour to see the best Christmas lights in NJ, see the Rockefeller tree in NYC, and so much more. Then the weather got below freezing. Then it got below the teens. We ended up spending most of winter break indoors because the kids didn’t want to leave the house in the single digit temps.
By Thursday of break though, we were bored and feeling stir crazy. So, my husband bundled us all up and packed us up into the Mazda CX-6 for some winter fun.
We went ice fishing at our favorite local nature preserve.
And played in the snow.
And of course, no winter’s day would be complete without a trip to the…
Beach? Yes! As a friend of mine said, you really know you are from Jersey when you head down to the Jersey Shore on a 16 degree day.
Before you think we are absolutely nuts, keep in mind that we just hung out in the arcade. And ended our day with a cup of delicious hot cocoa.
The Mazda CX-6 was the perfect set of wheels for our winter break fun. The fun Soul Red was perfect for the holiday week too! With the frigid temps, we couldn’t be happier with the heated seats and steering wheel that the Mazda CX-6 had. Plus, there were so many safety features we loved. Things like:
- Wipers that go on automatically when they sense rain
- Cruise control that slows you down when you are getting too close to a car.
- Lights that dim when they sense another car is coming towards you.
- Oh and let’s not forget it’s the 2017 IIHS Top Safety Pick.
Thank you to Mazda for allowing us to test drive the Mazda CX-6!
