5 On-the-Go Snack Ideas
Recently, I have really been taking the time to eat better. As a busy mom, on-the-go, my biggest struggle is finding ways to eat healthy while I am out and about. Here are some of the ways I am keeping myself feeling nourished while I’m driving my daughter to dance, on my way home from shopping or sitting in traffic.

I love putting together snack bags full of fresh nuts like almonds, cashews, walnuts and pecans. Then I throw in some dried fruit like craisins, raisins, apples and cherries. I also like to add in sunflower seeds and pepitas for additional variety. I can easily throw it in my bag and pick on it when needed.
A bottle of water.
A lot of times when I think I am hungry, I am actually just starting to get dehydrated. Staying on top of my water in take really helps!
Can you believe what an easy, on-the-go snack hummus can be? Reuse small jars or plastic containers by putting a hefty dollop of your favorite hummus on the bottom. Then add in carrot and celery sticks or cucumber spears.
You can’t go wrong with a fresh apple, banana or a container of grapes in a pinch.
I recently in a pinch stopped at my local Red Mango while I was out. I had never been there but was intrigued by the menu, so I gave it a try! Well, something new has become something regular now!
I was super lucky to have discovered Red Mango right after they introduced their three fall-flavored smoothies: Banana Chai, Roasted Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Spice.
I knew I was in for something good when I ordered a Pumpkin Spice smoothie and the Red Mango employee took out fresh diced pumpkin to add to the blender along with coconut milk. Red Mango’s fall smoothies are all-natural and gluten-free.
