My 5 Favorite Places to Hang with the Kids in NJ
Over the last few years as a mom, I really have found some wonderful places that the kids and I love to explore! Of course, as they grew our favorites have changed and I am learning to embrace that. I thought it would be fun to share my family’s favorite 5 places to hang out!
It seems like every summer Asbury Park changes for the better. We started visiting a few years ago because of the awesome splash park that’s there. Now, we love to visit some of the restaurants (our favorite is Talula’s) and little off beat shops along the water. The kids also love that the beach is full of playgrounds.
The Liberty Science Center
We have made several visits to the Liberty Science Center and the kids and I just love it. One of our favorite things there is the Infinity Climber and the changing exhibit spaces. One time we even saw Polar Express in IMAX!
The Princeton Art Museum
We are super lucky to live only a few minutes away from the world class Princeton Art Museum. The kids love getting the passports they get upon their entrance and then wandering around the museum to get their passports stamped. One of their favorite exhibits is ancient Egypt and ancient Greece.
In the spring and fall, we love visiting Longstreet Farm at Holmdel Park. It’s super fun to walk around and see all of the animals at the working farm and then we have a picnic! In the winter, Holmdel Park is where we like to go sledding!
The Market Fair Mall
I love hanging out at the Market Fair Mall when it is cold, rainy, or too hot out. I have been doing this since my son was about 18 months old! Some of our favorite things to do there are story time at Pottery Barn Kids, Starbucks for mom, and browsing at Barnes and Noble.
