Shortbread: 1 Mix, 4 Recipes
Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Do you know the real reason? Because of the dozens and dozens of cookies I love to make!
I’ve always wanted to host a cookie decorating party with my friends and family. When it comes to hosting a cookie party, I thought it was really important to keep things easy and simple. So, I chose to use Krusteaz Shortbread Cookie mix.
What I love about this mix is it’s versatility! Check out how easy it is to create 4 different cookie recipes out of this 1 mix!
Simply, mix the Shortbread cookie mix according to package directions. I love that you don’t have to use eggs in this recipe.
Then, cut the ball of dough into four quarters. Here are the 4 different recipes I made out of the 1 mix.
Add 1/4 cup of cocoa powder to your quarter of the shortbread dough. Kneed into the dough. Roll out on a floured surface and cut into desired shapes.
Chocolate covered shortbread cookies
Roll out your dough on a floured surface and use your favorite cookie cutter. Bake as per the directions on the back of the shortbread box. After the cookies cool, use my magic shell recipe to cover the cookies in chocolate.
