I have mentioned a few times about how much I believe that creativity has a place in my child’s learning and I love that Kazoops feels the same way. This new animated series follows the adventures of six-year-old Monty and his best friend, Jimmy Jones, the family pet pig. Monty immediately reminded me of my 5 year old. He takes every preconceived notion about life and shatters them. It’s such a unique way to teach children about critical thinking and creative play!
Children are transported with Monty and Jimmy Jones into Jimmy’s imagination to go on adventures, travel to amazing places and meet new and exciting friends! The show gets the kids excited that an imaginary adventure is about to begin with Monty’s exclamation of “
Each imaginary adventure is accompanied by a unique song that tells the story and guides us on the journey with Monty and Jimmy Jones. The songs are vibrant, cool and fun with a variety of styles that will make you want to dance, laugh and sing. The words are really important too because they tell us about the new perspectives Monty discovers along the way.
The series begins with Animal Pals, where Monty wonders why Jimmy Jones is jealous and eventually challenges the notion that “you can only have one best friend.”
