DIY Coffee Syrups
Anyone who knows me, knows how much I just love my coffee. Once I get it in my head that I need a cup, it’s all I can think about. And yes, I am a coffee snob. To me, there is nothing worse than a bad cup of coffee.
On the Mom Blog Tour this summer, we met Brooklyn Bean Roastery. It’s not all too often I get to enjoy “local” coffee, so I was intrigued. While I am from New Jersey, Brooklyn is only a hop and skip for me to get to.
I participated in Mom Blog Tour at the Summer Fancy Food Show on behalf of Wendy’s Bloggers and received Brooklyn Bean Roastery products and a @HamiltonBeach FlexBrew to facilitate my review. #MomBlogTourFF
With 150 different varities and sold in some of your favorite stores like Walmart, Shoprite, Wegmans, Bed Bath & Beyond and Amazon, I am sure you’ve even seen Brooklyn Bean Roastery without realizing it.
Brooklyn Bean Roastery coffee is a hip micro-beanery. Think trendy yet gritty meets high end gourmet for a result that is distinctly New York. Just like the people of Brooklyn, NY, they have adopted the unique and diverse style in their approach to coffee making. Paying close attention to the different tastes and preferences of their customers, Brooklyn Bean Roastery offers a variety of roasts and flavors to suit every palate: from crisp, flavorful, light blends to full flavor, extra bold roasts to decadent flavored coffees, and all with one-of-a-kind names and packaging that captures the Brooklyn flair.
Something my friends and I have been talking about a lot this summer have been those delicious coffee syrups that you can find in coffee shops. They are so easy to make!
Do you love my coffee bar set up? I do!
So, let me show you how easy it is to make your own coffee syrups!
Mix equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from the stove top and add in your flavors!
I made Vanilla by adding 2 tsp. vanilla extract. I also made Mocha by adding 1 tsp. of chocolate extract.
You could also easily do mint, almond, orange, or any extract you love!
After your syrup cools off a bit, store it in container.
Brooklyn Bean Single Serve Cups are compatible with Hamilton Beach® FlexBrew® Single-Serve Coffeemakers and their revolutionary roast2cup process ensures a smooth and rich cup of coffee every time!
I had moved away from single-serve coffeemakers for some time and when I opened up the FlexBrew, I remembered why I loved them so much. Sometimes, we really just want one cup! I really like how the FlexBrew takes up hardly any space on my counter top too! It’s perfect for an office or even a dorm room!
The Hamilton Beach FlexBrew allows you to use your favorite coffee cup or travel mug, plus it’s compatible with not only Brooklyn Bean Roastery’s coffee, but also any of your favorite ground coffee or single-serve pack!
