Layered Salad Cobb Salad
Summer is here and when it comes to recipes, it’s the perfect time of year for salads! I love a good salad and I am always looking for new ways to make them a little bit more exciting! The best part of a good summer salad is the fresh ingredients that I have access to here like farm fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and different lettuces.
I’ve had this trifle bowl sitting around for years it seems and I thought it would be the perfect dish for my favorite Cobb Salad, making it a Layered Salad Cobb Salad.
First, layer the greens: romaine lettuce, iceberg lettuce and peeled and chopped cucumbers.
Of course, now you need a dash of color! Ripened tomatoes, diced!
I then add some corn and finally, let’s not forget about the delicious shredded sharp cheddar!
One of the other ways I love to keep things fresh is with salad dressing. To top off my salad, I’ve been reaching for a cool and delicious choice – refrigerated Litehouse dressing.
Salad dressing can really make or break a salad. It’s funny, why would you put a room temperature dressing on a cold, crisp fresh salad?
Why put a room temperature dressing on your delicious, crisp fresh salad? The salad is cold, so why is your salad dressing warm!
