I graduated college in 2004 with a BA in History and a minor in Art History. I was always a liberal arts type of person and figured I’d go into teaching. Too bad for me, I didn’t realize I wasn’t attending a teaching college and it was nearly impossible to get a teaching certification after graduation. I ended up getting married shortly after I graduated and I ended up in a few sales jobs. While they were good jobs, I always said they weren’t careers. After I left the work force to become a stay-at-home-mom in 2008, I knew I had a lot of soul searching to do to figure out exactly what it was that I wanted to do in the future when I would have to return to the workforce.
I started my blog shortly after becoming a stay-at-home-mom and I never expected that I would turn into a career for me almost 7 years later. While starting a blog is easy, between doing social media consulting, freelance work, virtual assistant work and more, I now consider myself a WORK-at-home-mom with a small business. I am truly learning as I go. There’s so much more that I wish I knew and could learn.
With two small kids at home, a husband who works nights and weekends and my own business, the thought of going back to school honestly seems impossible. Taking the time to even find a program sounds daunting in itself! However, designed with the busy mom who is juggling her family, career and a personal life, Concordia University Wisconsin offers online programs for those who are unable to go the traditional university route.
After taking a look through Concordia University Wisconsin’s benefits, my interest was peaked and now I am really considering putting this to action!

I currently hold a BA, so I am looking at the MBA in Marketing program. I really like how open and clear the programs are for perspective students. There are clear goals, what classes you need to take, costs, potential careers and more. That transparency makes me very comfortable!
What would you go back to school to study?
