How to Make a Terrarium
I have to say I don’t have much of a green thumb. But, for months now I have been eye balling beautiful succulents from all over and have been wanting to make a terrarium!
After the launch of Honest Kids Apple Juice at Chic-Fil-A (I am a Chic-Fil-A Mom Ambassador), we received a fun kids package in the meal from Honest Kids. Their mother company Honest Tea sent me a fun package as well containing a bottle of delicious Honest Green Tea and a DIY Tea-rraium kit! Except, being the aloof woman I am, I didn’t realize that I was supposed to save the bottle to make the Tea-rraium until after I had disposed of it.
No worries though! My trusty store Home Goods saved the day when I found this beautiful bowl by the registers one day. I thought it was perfect to plant my Terrarium in!
How to Make a Terrarium:
- Layer some orchid bark
- Followed by activated charcoal to prevent odors,
- Then potting soil
- Add in your succulents
- Top with river rocks, moss and other fun accents
- Lightly mist your terrarium with water from a water bottle
Terrariums are perfect for people like me because they don’t need much care. They need a light mist of water every 2-3 weeks. They need direct sunlight, so keep them in a bright area of your home.
