Eggo Gluten Free Waffles
When I went gluten free two years ago, the number one thing for me to sacrifice was the taste of texture of many of the things I grew up eating. It’s almost impossible to find a gluten free product with the same taste and texture as it’s non-gluten free counterpart. A product gets a huge thumbs up from me when I can eat it and then serve it to my children with them never suspecting it is different than what they normally eat.
Eggo Gluten Free Waffles gets that huge thumbs up.
Eggo Gluten Free Waffles are available in two varieties – original and cinnamon. I found the original to have a slight hint of vanilla to it which in my opinion was different than original Eggo waffles, but taste more on the side of a homemade Belgian waffle. The cinnamon is delicious. When we ran out of our original Eggo waffles, I served my 4 and 6 year old the Eggo Gluten Free waffles and no one suspected they were any different. I am sure you can imagine what a feat this is when it comes to two picky eaters who can detect even the slightest difference in anything they eat!
Unlike many gluten free options, the Eggo Gluten Free Waffles contain 8 vitamins and minerals and 25% daily value of calcium and iron, making it not only a delicious breakfast option, but a nourishing one as well!
I have seen the Eggo Gluten Free Waffles at my local supermarket for a few weeks now. They are available nationwide in the freezer breakfast section with a suggested retail price of $3.39.
