Mrs. Green’ Natural Market has opened their first market here in New Jersey this week! The 18,300 square-foot store is conveniently located about three miles southeast of Princeton University and around the corner from the Princeton Junction train station at 64 Princeton Hightstown Road, West Windsor.
This is an exciting time for our area, as a neighborhood store with such a selection of local, organic and healthy options have never been available here. I had the chance to shop at Mrs. Greens during the Grand Opening celebration on March 28th.
I find that since eating a gluten-free lifestyle, my choices are rather limited in brands and options. I was so excited to find so many delicious brands at Mrs. Green’s. A store like this is going to definitely help in adding some spontaneity in my food choices.
Prior to visiting the store, I had never heard of Mrs. Green’s Natural Market! I am sure many of my neighbors here in Mercer County have not either, so here is some great information:
- Mrs. Green’s Natural Market is a neighborhood store that is passionately committed to clean, natural foods.
- They source the best local products whenever available — from your favorite groceries to produce to baked goods. They support local!
- Dedicated to health and sustainability. Devoted to customers who are care deeply about the foods they eat.
- Mrs. Greens is dedicated to offering you healthy, good food at an honest price. They will always provide quality food and supplement and encourage you to be healthy.
- Their goal is to educate and inspire their customers to eat well and live a good, healthy lifestyle.
I loved the baby section. Lots of cute eco-friendly clothes, toys, and supplies!
Local farm-raised pork! Just one of the many local meats I saw throughout the meat section. I usually have to wait until the summer to visit the West Windsor Farmer’s Market to buy meats like this!
Delicious fresh bread! I noticed the baker bringing out fresh bread several times throughout my time in the store.
Make your own almond or peanut butter! Yum! There is also a bakery section with some amazing looking items. And Mrs. Green’s even has some baked goods from local bakers.
I loved the little Kid’s Table! So cute & a great way to get your kids involved! I didn’t get a picture, but they also have little grocery carts for the kids to use too!
My dog is allergic to byproducts and I loved there was a ton of option to find him an alternative food. Look at all of the fun baking products! There was a very large selection of cleaning products too!
After checking out, I made sure to check out the coffee bar! Choose from teas or coffees. You can even get soy, almond or coconut milk in your coffee (perfect if you are Paleo or on the Whole30)! Unique to Mrs. Green’s is Chloe’s Soft Service Fruit Co featuring soft serve fruit with just fruit, water and organic cane sugar! I am looking forward to checking out their varieties like Aloha Banana, P.B.J Split, or Chocolate Cookie Crunch among others! You can also purchase juices and smoothies. Get a free small coffee with any $10 bakery purchase between 8-10am, at any Mrs. Green’s.
Make sure to activate your card! You get $5 in produce when you do and for every $1 you spend you get 1 point! Every 100 points = $1 rewards!
Make sure to come by during the store’s first week because Mrs. Green’s will donate give percent of proceeds up to a total of $10,000 to America’s Grow-A-Row, a nonprofit that provides a positive impact through volunteer efforts of planting, picking, rescuing and delivering free, fresh produce to food desert areas in New Jersey!
