A few weeks ago I had a large problem. My beloved Pampered Chef bar pan cracked right in half. Shortly thereafter, my only remaining cookie sheet went missing. If you could believe it, Momma Lew had not a single sheet to make cookies on in the house! It was snowing (what else is new this winter) and my kids (and husband) wanted cookies. So what was I going to do….make bars of course!
This recipe was a total experiment and could have quickly become a disastrous fail! Since I cannot eat gluten, I hadn’t tasted them when they were done, but based on the fact that the dozen were gone before I barely got a picture, this was deemed a success!
As you can see the ingredients are similar to chocolate chip cookies, but are missing a few key items.
