Be A Mythbuster at the Liberty Science Center
My husband and I have been watching the show Mythbusters forever it seems. We love watching it with our kids now since it teaches them science in fun and exciting new ways. Last week, we had the chance to visit the new Mythbusters exhibit at the Liberty Science Center thanks to our friends at MomTrends for the #MTMyth Event.
We’ve been in the Liberty Science Center a handful of times and each time we are blown away with the new exhibits. We loved seeing real show props from The Mythbusters before we even got to any of the hands on exhibits.
All of the exhibits are based on your favorite Mythbusters episodes!
One of our favorite parts of The Mythbusters exhibit was the live demo from some of our favorite LSC scientists. Have you ever seen the popular Mythbusters episode where they have to dodge a bullet? Well at the live show we saw we tried to rule out all of the different ways you could do that, just with a paintball instead.
Throughout the show, the audience and the scientists talked all about using the Scientific Method throughout the experiment and the reasons why we thought it would or wouldn’t work. I think the poor audience member was a little sorry he had raised his hand when they asked for volunteers! But he was a great sport about it! You’ll have to see the show for yourself to see what happens!
Do you have your own ideas for a Mythbusters episode? Submit it at the Liberty Science Center!
After checking out The Mythbusters exhibit, which is on display through September 4th, we headed to check out the rest of the Liberty Science Center. We probably would have seen more, but my kids never want to get out of the Infinity Climber!
