What to Pack in Your Travel Carry On Bag
It’s travel season! I just went through my calendar and went through everywhere I need to be over the next few months. Besides taking some time off to travel with my family, I will also be enjoying a few professional conferences as well. While I love to travel, I don’t like to pack to travel! I am not the most organized, however when it comes to packing I find it so important to be organized!
I try to pack as much as I can into my carry on bag.
First thing I do is lay everything out and check each item off of my check list.
√ I always keep items like lotion, hand sanitizer, lip gloss and deodorant in a clear bag so it is easy for airport security to see and so that nothing leaks out onto any of my important documents and electronics.
√ I like to keep a pen and a notebook with me as well. I like to write down things like gate numbers, flight numbers, reservation information and any other instructions I may need to have a safe flight.
√ I never leave for a trip without my portable charger (charged up).
√ I love bringing my e-reader with me as well because it takes up a lot less room than a book would and it has a multipurpose. I can access books, music, the internet, my email and more on it.
√ The glare of the sun can be tough on your eyes after leaving the airport and may be needed if you are flying to a sunny, warm destination!
√ If you are flying internationally, don’t forget your passport; for domestic travel, your photo ID.
√ One of my favorite items to include is the new Extra® 35-stick pack of gum!
I always have gum on me when I travel, it’s a must. Between my ears popping on the plane, getting motion sickness or just having stale tasting travel breath, I want gum! With the new Extra 35 stick pack i can buy a pack before we leave and have enough throughout my trip.
I love the fact that the Extra® 35-stick pack allows me to be able to share with my friends, family or the complete stranger who is sitting next me and is staring at my gum pack with puppy dog eyes. When you “Give Extra, Get Extra” and that goes a long way when you travel! You never know who you may be sitting next to you that asks for a piece of gum!
I’ll never forget the first time I flew by myself almost a decade ago! I was travelling to see my husband (then boyfriend) in Florida and I was so nervous, I went through an entire pack of gum just on the way down!
I really like the design of the packaging of the convenient, larger stick Extra® 35-stick packages. Not only are you getting more gum, but it is made out of durable, recycled packaging.
The Extra® 35-stick pack is easy to find at the checkout line at CVS.
