5 Sick Day Life Hacks
The Pfizer Pediatric Platform products, information, and additional gift pack have been provided by Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. All thoughts and reviews are my own.
Because motherhood couldn’t get any harder, your kids get sick. Usually it’s the weekend (can we say Sunday?), or at 3am or when your husband is out of town. Here are some of my favorite life hacks to make your next sick day a little bit easier!
♥ It’s inevitable to have to change the sheets when your kid’s are sick. Save time in the middle of the night, but doubling or tripling up on a set of sheets on the bed. For added protection, layer each set with a waterproof mattress pad.
♥ If you are like me, I can never remember when I gave the last dose of medicine. Make a chart on the side of your child’s medicine to check off when you gave the medicine. Or I have also heard of moms writing the time on a mirror with a dry erase marker.
♥ I can’t stand having dirty tissues all over the place when we are sick. I take an empty tissue box and rubber band it to a new box of tissues so that the kids always have a place to put their dirty ones.
♥ I have found myself in dire need of an electrolyte drink for my kids usually when I am home alone with them and don’t want to venture them out of the house or in the middle of the night when stores are closed. Make your own! Simple mix a quart of water with 1/2 cup salt and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
♥ Go through the medicine cabinet every time you change the clocks. Get rid of expired medicine and restock your medicine cabinet with essentials. This way you will ensure you are stocked and ready for when sick happens.
In my medicine cabinet you will always find:
