The #MySwimsuitStyle Campaign Sponsored by Miraclesuit
I am participating in the #MySwimsuitStyle challenge to promote self LOVE not self loathing with María José Ovalle of Very Busy Mamá and sponsor Miraclesuit. Join us by posting your own swimsuit selfie and let’s make a SPLASH this summer!
I have never been a mom who sits on the sidelines and sweats at the pool or on the beach. I love swimming and always have my entire life. This summer though, I have gained a lot of weight. My long history of yo-yo dieting, 2 pregnancies and not taking care of myself properly, have led my body to feel flabby and not in the best shape. For the first time in my life, I feel embarrassed and wanting to cover up the body that has grown two beautiful babies. How sad is that?
I’ve spent almost entire adult life trying to find a bathing suit I love. It seemed impossible. I realized that wearing stretched out maternity swim suits did not do anything for my confidence. They clung in all of the wrong places and got worse when I got in the water.
Moms. Let me introduce you to your new best friend, your miracle: the Miracle Suit! What I am about to show you is huge for me.
When you put your Miraclesuit on, there is just something that immediately allows your confidence and happiness shine through. It fits in all of the right places. The “mom gut” that I despise is controlled by Lyrca Spandex and their innovative Miratex fabrics. Unlike other bathing suits, the Miraclesuit keeps it shape, it doesn’t stretch out or become unflattering. I kind of want to wear my Miraclesuit underneath all of my clothes!
After a few weeks of feeling so insecure and unhappy, I am ready to say forget it and HAVE FUN this summer! We only live once and there’s only so little time to enjoy ourselves, so why make ourselves feel so self-conscious?
This summer I teamed up with a group of bloggers to help promote self love and NOT self loathing when it comes to wearing a bathing suit. When I heard about this campaign, I just knew I had to be apart of it. Women’s empowerment has something I have long been apart of since my college days. We spend too much time self-loathing and picking ourselves apart. As a mom, I have realized that each time I do something like this, it negatively impacts my daughter’s image of HERSELF!
