bitybean baby carrier
When you’re the parents of twins, you will almost never have a free hand. This is exactly why we invested in a pair of baby carriers for our twins. Unfortunately, they were more hassle than they were worth. We quickly realized that they are bulky and complicated to put on and both the baby and parent would soon be sweating if they wore it too long. No thanks.
But there is hope!
All of our problems were solved when we found the Ultracompact Baby Carrier by Bitybean. This super-light baby carrier is perfect for us and our 10 month boy/girl twins. We were treated to two carriers, in Tomato Red and Sand Grey.
When we opened the box that the carriers arrived in, we were shocked at the size of them. The Bitybean baby carrier, when folded and stuffed in its carrying pouch, is the compact size of a snapple bottle. Seriously. Who knew that a baby carrier could actually fit inside a diaper bag? Well, now two of them can!
We opened the pouch and the carrier unraveled. The light material of the Bitybean carrier feels just like a windbreaker. We were thrilled about the thin material because when we take the babies hiking, we won’t have to worry about wearing a heavy, cumbersome baby carrier that soaks up rain and sweat, all the while retaining those smells.
The carrier can be worn on the front or back, so we decided to try both methods. Our daughter, Scout, hates carriers. And we hate putting her in the carrier, which is always a two-person job. She’s usually sweating within five minutes because she fights us while we struggle to put her in and buckle all 50 straps. But this was much easier and only required one set of hands!
Mom put Scout on front, adjusted the straps, and she was on her way. Griffin, our son, is more easy going, so Dad wore him like a backpack full of school books. He loved it (both Griffin and Dad).
Let’s take a hike!
It was a warm day, about 85 degrees, but both the parents and their 17lb babies were cool and comfortable. Honestly, with light fabric and thin straps, there isn’t much room to add support, so we expected the carriers to be very uncomfortable for us. We were familiar with some of the back pains that come with other carriers, but this was far from the case with our new ultracompact bitybean baby carrier.
We were so relieved to feel how comfortable the carriers were. Even though they’re made of light material, Bitybean has sacrificed zero comfortability for the person wearing the carrier. This little carrier, which only weighs 8oz, can hold a 40 lb child! We don’t know how that’s even possible, but we love it.
We walked three miles on the trails and neither baby cried, whined, or fussed. This in itself was a miracle for Scout, the baby carrier-hater herself. And Griffin, who will not nap anywhere but in his crib, after he’s lost the long fight to stay awake, fell asleep on Dad’s back. Amazing.
These bitybean baby carrier are the real deal and we haven’t stopped talking about the possibilities.
We know we’ll have them with us at all times because they’re so conveniently small. We have no concerns about wading in water with them at the beach or on other hikes, because we know they’ll air-dry in a matter of minutes. And even when they’re dripping wet, they won’t become ten pounds heavier and water-logged like other carriers.
We can’t say enough good things about them and we’re confident you’ll feel the same way.
Looks like it’s time to give away our old carriers, because we’re hooked on Bitybean!
Bitybean Baby Carriers can be purchased on Amazon and retails for $59.95.
