This Mother’s Day, Pampers has asked me to write a love letter to my child. Usually, on Mother’s Day, your child is the one to give YOU a love letter, but think about it – it is YOU who should be celebrating THEM! They are the ones who made you a mom!
My dear “babies” Adam & Julia,
It’s amazing the things you have taught me since I have become a mother. I was never a patient person, I always wanted things now and when I wanted it. From the moment we decided to conceive you though, I realized that everything was out of my hands. I had to just let go and realize I couldn’t control everything. You have forced me to slow down and take everything in, to watch you grow and learn. I realized I have to walk slower and speak slower, so you too can be at my pace. I thought I knew what love was. But it wasn’t until I first met your eyes that I realized I never actually knew “love at first sight” did in fact exist. It’s exciting to watch you see your first spring flower or feel the grass under your feet for the first time. The little things I take for granted everyday, are life’s wonders for you. I know sometimes I lose my temper or patience with you, but remember everyday is me learning to be your mother as well. Truly, when a baby is born, a mother is born.
