Nickelodeon’s 2013 Holiday Gift Guide!

Since I was a child myself, Nickelodeon has been such a huge part of children’s television programming. This holiday season, you can bring your child’s favorite television characters home with Nickelodeon’s Gift Guide!
Nickelodeon recently gave me the chance to review some of these great toys!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have recently made a comeback and they are as popular now as they were over twenty years ago.  Kids ages 8 and up will love the Carrera Go!  Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ninja X-Loop Slot Racing System (SRP: $100)!  The Leonardo Turtle Trike & Raphael Turtle Trike side-by-side race in a one of a kind double loop!  Of course, you can always collect all four turtles and villains with the Playmates Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Basic Figures (SRP: $7.99)!   Perfect for ages 4 and up, each turtle includes their famous colored bandana and their ninja weapons!

Toddlers and Preschoolers will love the Bubble Guppies Swim-sational School Playset (SRP: $39.99)!  Bubble Guppies is a favorite in our house, so my children have been eyeballing this great playset for awhile! Your Bubble Guppies are greeted by Mr. Grouper in the Schoolhouse, who sings the famous “Lunchtime” song. In the lunchroom area, your child can open up the lunchboxes to hear some silly phrases just like in the show! Your Bubble Guppies go into recess with the very fun song “Line Up Everybody”!  The Bubble Guppies Swim-Sational School Playset is perfect for ages 18+!

The Christmas season isn’t complete with all of the great holiday specials!  Nickelodeon is no exception!

Bubble Guppies & Team Umizoomi:  Into the Snow We Go! was a great way to get the kids into the spirit of the season!  The Bubble Guppies friends work together to bring joy to their neighbor Mr. Grumpfish. After Bubble Guppies, team up with Team Umizoomi to use your Mighty Math Powers to find a sled for Sanjay and then collect baby penguins around Umi City!  (SRP: $14.99)

Watch in Stop Motion animation as Bikini Bottom prepares for Santa’s big arrival in It’s a Spongebob Christmas (SRP: $14.99)!  Along with the feature film, watch behind-the-scenes featurettes, a Spongebob Yule Log and two downloadable songs!

I was surprised this year to find that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were popular, because that’s what kids watched when I was growing up (a fair amount of time ago…and that’s all I’m going to say on that…). My nephews went as TMNTs this Halloween, and I just bought my son his own little airplane carryon that has TMNTs on the back!

I am so excited that TMNT are back! There were one of my favorite cartoons as a little girl. I’m already eying these dudes for my little guy once he gets a little bit older. 😉
